Agriculture is one of the most vital yet one of the most neglected industries. It’s farmer who literally puts his blood and sweat into the soil so that the whole country will be able to eat their food. But many times the same farmer doesn’t able to earn that much to feed his family. This needs to change. The Government of Maharashtra took an initiative along with Palladium from Pune. This program is known as MSDP. This is about Agri Skilling. MSDP promotes Group farming or community farming. It inspires the farmers, especially small land owners, to come together and reap the benefits. The government offers training programs for 8 weeks to these farmers. A representative from Palladium visits the small groups from village to village and train them how to enter into this program. It’s getting very good response. The idea was to engage these farmers all through the training sessions. Imagine, they are the people who are not used to sitting in the enclosed atmosphere and learn something. Therefore, we were approached on this. We, at One Mile Ahead Films, came up with this idea of creating a series of 24 videos. They are the episodes of 1 story. The story is about farmers and their issues. The videos take you through the MSDP course with fun, education, humour, commitment and a promise to give pride to an Indian farmer.
